XBOX 360

Oh man, shitballs aplenty with this latest atrocity from microsoft....let's take a look at some of the issues with 360..


- Ridiculous supply shortages..

I was at the mall on launch day, completely by mistake, i might add....at any rate, the 2 game stores in the mall had lists for pre-orders. This guy comes in "i pre-ordered a 360, i'm here to pick it up" "hey bob, this guy's number 63"...fat guy(bob) stands there for a sec "Um...we don't have anymore units".....the customer fuckin' flipped.....

I mean, this is the fault of the game store, for overbooking, and microsoft, for not producing enough units for launch....instead of making sure everyone who wants one, can get one, and making sure the technology is solid, they rush it out the door, to make a quick buck....and because of their rushing the piece of shit out the door..you get the rest of it's problems...


- Numerous units either dropped dead, failed to power up, or bluescreened, and became unrecoverable


- HUGE FUCKING POWER BRICK

This thing is almost as big as my cock, i swear to christ...

you hafta sit it on ceramic tiles, so it doesn't overheat, and shut down your "console"...and the fucker heats up fast....absolutely terrible design feature...


- Nigh non-existant backwards compatibility

ok, for our latest XPC Form Factor system disguized as a gaming console, let's go with ATI instead of nVidia......oh snap, we hafta pay royalties to them to emulate their hardware so people who spent hundreds on shitty games from the last system can play them on the new one?.....well fuck that...

Turns out in order to enable backwards compatibility, microsoft has to send you some kind of disc (drivers, no doubt)...i'm not sure if this disc costs money or not, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did..

I'm not sure if this thing natively supports ANY of the original XBOX titles...


- SEVERE lack of launch titles

When 360 released, there were like 6 games for it....wtf is that?...and the really sad and fucked up part is, the bulk of them were games that were already available for other systems...this is another example of them rushing it out the door, instead of making sure everything's done right...

I'm still not seeing anything really worth buying being released for this system.....

You'd think MS would have learned from their mistakes with their LAST "console"


For this, and other reasons, i think this is pretty much the funniest 360-related site going...

More Work Shit

Yesterday was pretty much a non-stop parade of smelly people......i don't get it, what is it with people...they can't take showers now? It was fucking insane, and sickening, because the various stenches would linger...lemme tell ya' something, nothing will make you wanna puke more than walking through an invisible cloud of someone's rancid body funk....fucking terrible..

Today was just stupid people/angry people day......every time i turned around, my customer was either stupid, or angry....yeah, great, you're mad...that's fine, but don't fucking take it out on me, ok?

Fine, my supervisor did something fucked up, that's great, don't fucking take it out on me...

I answered more stupid questions, and witnessed more stupidity today, than i have in the last month.....is there a full moon or something?



Gaming

So i got the latest issue of OPM...number 101

This is by far, the most satisfying issue i've seen in a while...multi-page interview with Hideo Kojima, the full, unedited, ultra-high quality version of the MGS4 video from TGS....AND.....a playable demo of 24: The Game

The demo was fucking godly.....They managed to capture the atmosphere and feel of the show PERFECTLY...i'm not even going to bother renting this one...it's a definate purchase...

Chris, if you're reading this....this game is going to be THE shit.
