So i'm still on the vaio...but i managed to get it connected to an LCD panel, with a usb keyboard and mouse, so it's MUCH easier to use, lol. the only real drawback about the current setup is that it's a rectangle keyboard....anyone who's a regular reader of this blog knows how deeply i HATE rectangle keyboards....but whatever, it beats the vaio's aged on board keyboard module...

i managed to finally catch something from work....it's been over a year since last i was sick, and what do i get?....strep...it blows..caught it on the first day it manifested though, so it didn't have a chance to get REALLY bad. what's really insane about it is that when i called in on saturday to tell the boss that i was calling out so i could go see a doctor, she starts yelling at me, bitching about how i'd went home early last saturday (i have construction on my house going on, the noise keeps me up, and i was exausted.), then tells me that i'm not allowed to be sick, and how i can't call out...not only is it unprofessional to yell at me like that, but it's also illegal...so after arguing with her for like 5 minutes, i ask for her boss' number....then she starts being nice...ya' know..found me a replacement for that day, and the next day, "hey, did payroll get you your money yet?"...sux that it takes implied threats to get shit done..

speaking of payroll....you'll love this....i work the holidays, and don't get holiday pay, lol

payroll fucked up hardcore this holiday season, issuing checks missing hours, missing holiday pay....all kinds of shit....last holiday shift i worked was well over a month ago, and the bosses are STILL fighting with them to get me the rest of the money i'm owed.....payroll NEVER used to have problems like this...then then the company that bought us out decided "hey, payroll works just fine....let's fuck with it anyway" and now it doesn't work....sometimes, i think our "saviors" are deliberately trying to sink us...i gottta get outta here..reminds me of the hendrix lyrics i quoted in the post title, and the begining of the post..

I got a notice from ASUS, my board was sent out on the 5th...it's supposed to be here later today....so i suppose maybe i can get my computer back up in a couple of weeks (still hafta juggle work, and other build jobs)...i'm looking forward to getting my system back online...i can't wait to play my new games..

CHRIS UPDATE

So i tried calling Chris again, and it seems his cell number is no longer his cell number...the number i have now belongs to some mook named "Jim". So i now have no way to get a hold of Chris, short of driving up there, and tracking him down...at the moment, that's too costly a prospect to take on.....damn, i hate being poor...

So i filed my taxes last night....e-filing is great...gets it over with, gets me my money fast...it's awesome. great thing is that i've already figured out how i'm gonna spend my return...i'm getting a new chair (This one), and a black Nintendo DS Lite. with whatever's left, i'll pick up a few games i've been looking for, and maybe a few shirts off the megatokyo store....so how will you, the reader spend your tax return this year?...feel free to leave a comment.
